Get Shafted.

There was a show aired on Channel 9 here in Australia last night, at 12am called 'Manhunt'.
Most likely there are plenty of Americans out there who remember this atrocity they called Reality TV. The program aired in America in 2001, and barely scraped through it's first and only season. Watching the program, it's not hard to see why.

The basic concept of the show, is this; 13 people were chosen to be placed on an island,be hunted by 3 dipshits in camo gear sporting paintball guns, and the final person standing takes home a clean $25,000... or do they?

After two episodes of Manhunt were aired, there was already two complaints filed against the station that owned the rights to the show.
Both complaints were from players who claimed they were approached by producers to shoot more scenes, and were blackmailed into doing them.
So what happened behind the scenes of Manhunt? A little research tells us exactly what's on the menu.

The show was never filmed on an island, and was infact, filmed on a 2,500 acre ranch. And that's where the deception of the show starts.
After filming was over, Paramount wanted more "conflict" and "backstabbing" in the program, and forced players to re-shoot scenes at L.A's Griffin Park.
Players were given scripts to act out, and gauntlets were rigged for the "charismatic" players they wanted to keep on for ratings. Co-Producter Bob Jaffe quit the show, and wouldn't continue making a program that had the reality stripped from it just to increase ratings.

QUOTE: TV Hall of Shame.
As if these charges weren’t bad enough, Shaalan, who trained the hunters and contestants, also claimed that contestants were injured during filming and were not given any medical treatment. Two of the contestants, James McCaughley and Lucas Ford, sustained leg injuries. McCaughley had knee surgery, but Ford, who had no insurance, had not received treatment at the time he was originally interviewed. Shaalan also claimed that J.K. Kelley was physically restrained by a show producer from coming to the aid of the injured McCaughley, leading to her ouster by the group.

QUOTE: Reality News Online.
Both Jaffe and Shaalan claim that extensive reshoots were done in Los Angeles after filming wrapped up in Hawaii. The contestants, most of whom had their heads shaved when they were eliminated, wore bandannas during the reshoots in Griffith Park. They recited scripted dialogue provided by Paramount and this footage was inserted into the original film. A disclaimer by Paramount was added after the fraud charges were filed says, “This program includes dramatic scenes intended for entertainment purposes only.”

The leader of the three hunters is called "Big Tim", who is played by WWE wrestler John Cena, aka. "Prototype".
Big Tim is basically a limp-dicked dipshit who likes to shout at the players and abuse them in front of everyone, with a serving of manhandling as well. Mr. Tim acts all tough and macho, and deliver poorly stringed together insults. However I have noticed something about Mr. Tim, that if the players had of noticed before, they may not have taken him so seriously.

Now, onto our next hunter named "Koa" played by actor Kala'i Miller.
I'm sure when this guy is chasing after you, shouting like a hobo on viagra and brandishing a paintball gun, you'd have every reason to fear. But fear not! for Mr. Miller is in fact, a BayWatch pretty-boy!

In fact, the only hunter you should be fearing, is the Gladiator Raye Hollitt "Zap".
It is a well known fact, that Raye makes sure she drinks a nice tall warm glass of testosterone with breakfast and after meals.

And that pretty much wraps up everything I have to say about this show.
Feel free to read some of the articles I have posted my quotes from.

WMP10: At a glance.

I installed the new Windows Media Player 10 today.
And i'd say the only really big changes are in the looks of it, but the new looks isn't necessarily a good thing.
For starters, the little panel that WMP9 would place in the task bar was great, and looked great.
The "new look" one isn't so great, it's kind of hard to see the buttons.

The visualisations have also sligthtly improved, perhaps we are going to see a new generation of visualisations for WMP. Although they're nothing at the class of WinAmp, they have still improved. The clouds in the visualisation below actually move.

Note: You have to download new visualisations to get anything decent.

Next on the list, is the media library. I got a little lost when I simply wanted to play an album from an artist. WMP10 has the drop-down list of artists and albums next to the "Now Playing" button at the top, that's something that took me a little while to discover.
Unfortunetly, now that it's not in a combobox, you have a huge menu to go through to find your arist if you have a lot of music.
Also note, to play all the music from the artist in the media library, right-click on the artists name, and select "Play".
If you add the artist, you just add all their songs ontop of anything else in the playlist already.

Pirating music has also never been easier, now that WMP10 has the clear to see "Rip" and "Burn" buttons at the top. Handy.

On a final note, WMP10 looks good, but is hard to understand.
Oh yeah, and your "File" and "View" menu at the top, is now on the little arrow next to your "Minimise" button in the corner.

More bad blogs.

I know I often talk about bad blogs, and I don't know why I continue to punish myself by reading them.
But I am so sick and tired of people who can't use proper english in their blogs.
And i'm not talking about just a few spelling errors, i'm talking about the people that chew up the language and spit it out.

I don't think it's wrong of me to want to kill myself after reading that atrocity.
I'm not sure what she thinks "uptown" is, but she certainly isn't it. Maybe "downtown-ghetto".

"my classmates called me barbie doll which i suppose dey meant it as babi doll"
No, they meant you dressed up looking like a barbie doll, you shallow bitch.

For your convenience, I have translated in red what I believe she means.
However my translation has missed some parts, feel free to fill in the blanks.

God, doesn't she realise how minor she is, that people regard her as the rubbish of the community. I was angry, but I just kept cool.
hahahaha...shes laughing at me cuz im diff i laugh at her cuz shes just like ani
other minahs dat we see...but sum minahs r realy nice..sooo i shall not generalise dat
I find it funny that she's laughing at me because i'm different. I laugh at her because she's just like any other minors that we see. However some minors are really nice, so I shouldn't generalise.

okok i noe u ppl r anxious bout my results
